In depth
Verdict
Not the most competitive event of the day, but that won't worry the connections of Palawan, who looks to have a fine opportunity to follow up his win over course and distance back in January. That was his first outing for nearly eight months, so he can be expected to prove that bit sharper here. Roses Of Spring rattled up a hat-trick through the winter, but the Handicapper has since made her pay for that and she isn't one to be interested in at present, while course specialist Sounds Lucky also looks to be plenty high enough for the time being. Karminskey Park is running well enough at present to be of interest, especially as he has the rail to run against. The enigmatic Sussex Lad, who is tumbling down the handicap, is capable of a bold show if putting his best hoof forward.
