      Verdict

All have something to prove but this may rest between the Hills and Cole inmates. HEROIC receives the vote as he's yet to be seen this season whereas Voltaic has been beaten on both starts, most recently by seven lengths in an ordinary Brighton maiden. The selection looked a potentially useful sort when an Ascot fourth on debut last term without seemingly progressing on three subsequent outings. He's been given a good break though and this is a good starting point with conditions to suit. Jack D'Or displayed ability on debut last season and is a possible improver.
