Verdict
Potsdam and The Gay Fox both hold strong claims in a weak race, but Badou may just have the edge. Lee Montague Hall's gelding makes a quick return to the track having finished a five length seventh behind Doctor Dennis on Sunday in a much better contest. His recent course victory was over six furlongs but his trainer believes he is just as good over this longer trip. The Gay Fox has been a model of consistency and is quite well in with the selection on recent running so has to be given a chance. Potsdam is finding his feet after two decent efforts at Wolverhampton. He is making his Lingfield debut but if he handles the different surface he should be in the shake up. In a very open contest Master Rattle and Zonnebeke are both worthy of consideration, however for the winner we return to Badou.
