Verdict
This is fascinating contest that may fall to Private Seal, with Dafa and Kingsdon put forward as the main dangers. Julian Poulton's gelding was just touched off by Theatre Lady over course and distance in early February and followed that effort with a close second over 12 furlongs. This is probably his ideal trip and he won't get many better opportunities to gain his first success for three years. Dafa won a weak race at Wolverhampton back in January, however his previous efforts were over middle distances and it would be no surprise to see more improvement come with the extra yardage. Kinsgdon was also successful last time out beating a modest field over course and distance a fortnight ago, another bold showing can be expected. Of the rest Paintbrush has taken on better company so could run into a place, however Private Seal is a tentative choice to land the winners purse.
