Verdict

PIPPBROOK MINISTAR is preferred here to Lockantanks, Marius MAximus and newcomer Srda. The last-named cost $100,000 and is bred to be high class so the market may be a good indicator as to how fit she is on this first run, however we'll stick with the safer option of Pippbrook Ministar. She was only beaten a nose by Mint Whip here last month and with fitness on her side she is fancied to make it third time lucky. My Mandy has plenty of experience but she has been exposed as fairly modest, whilst Neduardo has shaped with equal promise but disappointed at Kempton last time and now has a bit to prove. Bob Goes Electric can improve on a Goodwood fifth now the yard are in better form, Lockantanks ran well in a weak Wolverhampton maiden last time out, whilst Marius Maximus returns from a beak. He has not lived up to expectations yet but his yard continue to fire in the winners and better is expected this season. An open race, with the tentative vote going to Pippbrook Ministar.
