Verdict
White Bear, Hand Chime and Hollow Jo are all on the shortlist and White Bear is accordingly selected. The draw of eleven is an obvious concern but on the face of it, he should have enough pace to get a handy pitch. Seven furlongs at Lingfield is a specialist event and with two recent victories, there is no doubt about White Bear's aptitude. He beat Hand Chime on their most recent meeting. That horse has a knack of popping up at big prices but we would have preferred him were the race at Wolverhampton. Hollow Jo has a 100% record at the track and the recent winner over a mile is dropped back to seven furlongs. Hadath is returned to his best trip. He has been catching the eye in recent weeks with a couple of staying on events over six furlongs so the market is watched. Mandarin Spirit returns from a long lay-off. He would be well in on old form but he could just need it. Monashee Prince is well drawn this afternoon and can be expected to try and make all. White Bear does have a bad draw to contend with but he has plenty of early pace and should be able to overcome those obvious worries.
