In depth

Verdict

An uninspiring maiden but His Masters Voice is proposed ahead of Lucky Token and Precautionary. David Arbuthnot had the opportunity of going for handicaps but the canny handler has decided to tackle another maiden contest. A step up to seven furlongs does not appear to be too much of a problem. Lucky Token went into the notebook on debut. Ed Dunlop's maidens often carry their own wealth warning but the filly boxed on enterprisingly when unfancied and there are obvious doubts about others this afternoon. Precautionary was a Roger Charlton castoff. Now with Julia Fielden, an encouraging effort was put up on reappearance. Danish Blues has the ability to win a race although he will need to learn how to settle in his races. Lady Georgette is fairly stout as far as breeding is concerned. She is watched in the market. His Masters Voice has had enough opportunities to take to the racing game and today should be the day.
