Ruman is open to more improvement than most and is selected ahead of Soft Focus, Angel River and Saxon Lil. The last named was done no favours by the draw last time out and fared much better than her finishing position gives him credit for. A positive move for her will be dangerous to ignore. Angel River represents good value, as she had Soft Focus a half length behind her when she won here on the All Weather in March. She is only 4lb higher tonight and a bold bid cannot be ruled out. Soft Focus is better than she has shown of late and has to be respected on the best of her efforts. She at least knows what it takes to win a race and, with her yard back in decent form, she too would be dangerous to dismiss. However, Ruman makes slightly more appeal on this occasion. The three-year-old has experience of the track and is suited by the size of the field. A quick reappearance from this son of Fayruz is not expected to be a problem and another bold bid is anticipated tonight.
