In depth

Verdict

Ballygriffin Kid gets the vote in the finale, while Dream Easy was in good form when he was last seen out and has claims if he truly stays the trip. Wild Pitch is another in with a chance and is worth monitoring in the betting, while support for Sachin could be well placed for each-way punters. He does however, need to brush aside the form of his last few starts and it may be risky to trust the market implicitly where he is concerned. Wild Pitch has experience of the trip and should make a bold bid under Jamie Spencer. However, he is hard to win with and others may have his measure near the finish. Which is where we expect that Ballygriffin Kid will come into his own. He is unexposed at a mile and a half, but has hinted that he is worth a try over further. Gay Kelleway is as shrewd as any when it comes to placing her horses and, as this looks a weak affair, Ballygriffin Kid is fancied to cope with the demands on his stamina in this company.
