Verdict
STREET POWER is on a roll although there must be the chance that the handicapper is catching up with him but he still makes most appeal in this field. Diriculous, Alfresco and perhaps Desert Icon are worth considering too. Alfresco has slipped to a very attractive mark but he has done his winning at this track over a mile so the trip looks wrong whilst Asaint Needs Brass, Frognal and Sir Edwin Landseer all have a bit to prove at present. Dark Mischief is more interesting than most given the form of his reappearance but he hasn't made the expected progress and Jaconet or Viking Spirit could pose more problems. Diriculous has never won from a mark as high as this but the yard landed a touch a week ago and it would be no surprise to see this all-weather specialist attract strong support and go close. Desert Icon has been rather inconsistent but he ran one of his better races last time and hails from a yard that has a good record here but Street Power looks the more reliable option. He has been handed an 8lb rise for his facile success at Kempton meaning that he's now 23lbs higher than when successful over course and distance in February but his run has shown no signs of coming to an end so, whilst the force is with him, we'll stick with Street Power.
