Verdict

It took 25 attempts for Banta Bay to finally win on the all-weather and he’s raised 4lb after scoring at Kempton. King Athelstan has been beaten since winning at Brighton in September but Music Major is back on the same mark as when scoring over track and trip early in the year. Mistress Nellie went close at Kempton when last racing over today’s distance but MRS IVY (NAP) has the most scope of these. She came good at Wolverhampton on only her second start handicapping and Ralph Beckett’s filly looks worth sticking with given there should be more to come from her.
