        Verdict

        Saracen Star went close in a seller here last time but will find this tougher while Mrs Upjohn showed some promise when runner-up at Newcastle on last month’s debut. Merryweather ran much better at Nottingham on her introduction than she did over a longer trip at Goodwood on her latest start but a chance is taken on TACITLY. The latter will know more today having run green at Kempton before staying on late for fourth and is taken to confirm running with Wand. A couple of newcomers representing powerful yards are worth noting including the Godolphin filly Late Romance, the first foal of an Irish St Leger winner and preferred to the John Gosden-trained Asbaagh.
