A few of the usual suspects on view and it could pay to take Gymbolini in preference to Bathwick Alice and Lucys Lady. Gymbolini is making her first start on the Lingfield track but was well held in two previous starts at Wolverhampton. However, she ran a sound enough race last month the Rous Stakes at York. She was only narrowly beaten by the 75-rated Figaro Flyer and if she were able to reproduce that run, she would go very close. Bathwick Alice was not totally disgraced in a Newbury nursery behind Salute Him. This is a first drop to selling grade and if she can get a pitch from an unfavourable draw, there are chances. Lucys Lady should have no problems from a distance perspective. She has tended to be a moderate starter and can ill-afford that here. Baytown Lulu has been very busy over the last few months. Now with Stuart Howe, she is well held by our selection. In Hope is relegated to a much more reasonable level this afternoon and is watched in the market. Not a classic by any stretch of the imagination but Gymbolini is nominated on her York form.
