Verdict

Godfrey Street can gain compensation here from Waterline Twenty and Wake Up Maggie. A banker for most punters at Goodwood on his most latest start, he probably found six furlongs a bridge too far. Nevertheless, he stamped himself as an improving sort and on previous evidence, we shall keep faith. Waterline Twenty has always been held in high regard by connections. She has faced some stiff opposition in the likes of the Queen Mary before making a winning return in a Bath event. Wake Up Maggie was a rare first time up juvenile for Chris Wall but the shrewdies were definitely on at Sandown and it will be interesting to see if they are on again today. Louie Louie outclassed some very modest opposition at Brighton and is upped in grade. Fallal Parc was a very cheap buy. Blue Minx has been a joy for connections but should have too much to do against much more progressive individuals. Godfrey Street may have been an expensive failure but he can repay punters with interest.
