One Upmanship has solid enough form in the context of this claimer and so is the pick over the likes of El Chaparral, Sewmore Character and Belisco. One Upmanship opened his account in similar company to this at Haydock at the start of August before chasing home Belisco on his first attempt on the Polytrack. He then finished third to the in-form veteran The Prince at Goodwood last week so lines up fit and fancied today. He gets weight from the older El Chaparral who gained a hard-fought victory at Windsor in August before making no impression behind Pagan Prince there on his latest visit. The drop to this company should help and he can give the selection plenty to think about. Sewmore Character was very disappointing when last seen at Beverley, but showed better form earlier and as that latest effort was too bad to be true, we can expect him to fare better, with the step up in trip likely to be in his favour. Belisco was eased when beaten behind Stephano at Redcar but in the light of that one's subsequent effort, he can be given a chance, particularly as he has a course and distance success to his credit. However, we prefer the claims of One Upmanship.
