        Verdict

        Stagecoach Ruby is back over her preferred trip and is chosen to beat Jaolins and Backlash. The selection didn't do too badly over seven furlongs when last seen out at Kempton, staying on well to finish just four lengths behind Dante's divine. However she easily beat a modest bunch over course and distance on her previous outing, and in similar company today looks the best alternative. Jaolins and Backlash met at Warwick in October, with the latter coming out on top by five lengths. At today's weights there should be very little between them if the form works out on this different surface, although preference goes to the Tony Carroll entry as the stable is in decent form. Amber Fox and Regency Malaya have shown enough ability here in the past to warrant respect, but on this occasion we will side with Stagecoach Ruby.
