Verdict

Five runners that are closely matched on the figures and the race could go the way of UNNEFER. Henry Cecil's runner won twice during a profitable and consistent season including on his reappearance and he has sound claims of going in again on his return. There was plenty to like about his defeat by Staying On over a mile on his final start of last season and there are grounds for believing that he could improve again. Drumfire is difficult to place but is a genuine performer who has to be feared in this company whilst Halicarnassus is tough and capable and has claims if none the worse for his exertions at Chester. Khateeb has been absent since being held behind a battling Drumfire in a similar contest and is in danger of becoming disappointing but top connections have kept him in training and he's lightly raced. Resplendent Light looks worth trying over this trip but has a bit to find with the main protagonists, of whom, Unnefer is preferred.
