Verdict
This looks a very good opportunity for Amwell Brave to lose his maiden tag, with Come What July and It's Blue Chip selected as the main dangers. The John Jenkins trained colt came up against runners from two powerful yards in a decent looking event here at the end of January. He was only beaten a couple of lengths into third and his previous handicap form is rock solid so it is difficult to oppose him today. Come What July wasn't beaten far in a modest maiden at Southwell back in December and has also shown a liking for Wolverhampton. He makes his Lingfield debut this afternoon and if acting on the surface should be in the shake up. It's Blue Chip is lightly raced and should improve on his recent third behind Always Flying. The newcomer Zaffeu is from a top all-weather yard so is worth a look in the betting, but Amwell Brave has the best form credentials and is a confident choice.
