In depth
Verdict
There should be very little between Resplendent King, Trevian and Archersfield on recent course and distance running and they should be in the firing line, however for the winner we will side with Night Storm. Simon Dow's filly is improving with each outing here at Lingfield and was most impressive when a close third in a decent looking maiden behind Somewheremylove. The handicapper will have found it hard to assess her and she may have got in here quite lightly. Of the three that met here in January Trevian should once again come out on top. He is in fact a pound better off with runner up Archersfield and Brian Reilly's claim offsets the five pound turnaround with Resplendent King. Head Boy is a stable-mate of the Night Storm so is worth a look in the market, particularly in relation to the selection. Even Easier is also worth a mention as he hails from an in form yard, but after much contemplation Night Storm is given the vote.
