In depth

Verdict

CAPRICORNUS can continue Mark Johnston's good run at the track though Fazza and Exceedthewildman are others to make appeal. The selection is bred for slightly further but there is a sprinting slant in the damline so this halfway house seems perfect. He won well at Wolverhampton and can improve upon that effort. Fazza does not the most straight forward of horses. A half-brother to winning three year olds, like a fine vintage wine, he arguably gets better with age. Exceedthewildman has not stayed the mile previously so the step back to seven is well advised. Admiral Cochrane landed a few tasty bets at Wolverhampton before being outpaced at Kempton next time out. Gold Party and Kirsty's Boy have bits and pieces of form though are not consistent enough for us.
