    Verdict

White Bear gets a tentative vote in a competitive-handicap, with Hand Chime, Quantum Leap and Goose Chase all respected. Frankie has his only ride today on the Conor Dore-trained, four-year-old. He was a short-head behind Cool Sands around here in early March and a repeat of that performance off a two-pound higher mark would see him go very close today. Goose Chase has to shoulder a penalty for a recent win in a weak Kempton handicap. He may have too much to do under this penalty but the second placed horse that day, Red Rudy, runs at Folkestone on Tuesday and a win for that horse would give that form a boost. Quantum Leap was a course and distance winner in a better race than this last month and he is just four-pound higher today so has every chance against these rivals, but our selection is White Bear.
