          Verdict

          Scarrottoo is not the most reliable but he is given the tentative vote here and he might just be good enough to see off the likes of Shirley Oaks, Espada and Lord Chamberlain. The selection will need to come from off the pace to win, but he has certainly got the form to win this and looks well treated, and with the booking of Darryll Holland another plus he makes plenty of appeal. Shirley Oaks won well when defeating My Girl Pearl at Salisbury, but she has a 6lb penalty for that win and that may just put pay to her chances. Lord Chamberlain ran well despite having no luck in running at Bath and then ran another sound race when fourth at Yarmouth last time. His stable is in form and the drop in trip will not be a problem so he could be capable of a big run. Espada finished behind Lord Chamberlain at Bath and there is no reason to suggest that those placings will be reversed here, while Royal Racer is dropped in trip and could be interesting from a fair draw. However, Scarrottoo has plenty going for him here and he is taken to score.
