Verdict
Air Buscuit, Northside Lode and Blackmail are three against the field in a competitive opener with the vote going to Air Biscuit. The selection landed a gamble in some style last time out when beating Cunagonde, and althouygh having a penalty for that win, that is offset by the riders claim and under conditions that suit she will be hard to beat, Northside Lodge rates the main danger on his latest second behind Cape Diamond, he is sure to have the race run to suit and will not be far away but he is becoming hard to win with. Blackmail is game and consistent and is sure to run his race but this hold up performer will need plenty of luck in running. Of the remainder, Can Can Star is from a yard in form and could go well at a price but in a race where stakes should be kept to a minimum for the winner we return to Air Biscuit.
