Verdict
Art Investor can make fitness and experience count over Mighty, with Augustus John and Dik Dik best of the remainder. The first two mentioned should safely have this between them, with preference for Art Investor if only for the fact that he has been runner-up on each of his last two outings, at Southwell and Wolverhampton. On both occasions he appeared to run out of steam over the 12-furlong trip, and so the drop back in distance here will hopefully work the oracle for David Elsworth's gelding. In truth he probably does not have as much scope as Mighty, but Jane Chapple-Hyam's charge has been off since finishing third at York on his final start for Sir Michael Stoute, and this half-brother to Danehurst will be sharpened up by a run. The rest are distinctly moderate, but any support for Tim Pitt's Augustus John would be interesting. However, we will take a chance that Art Investor will have too much savvy for Mighty this afternoon.
