Verdict

Et Moi Alors would have probably won at Ascot in January had he not fallen at the last. He was then second at Sandown before running in a Grade 1 at Aintree, in which he wasn’t entirely disgraced. Gary Moore’s charge sets a decent standard in this but will need to settle better over this longer trip and MERCY MERCY ME could be an above-average recruit as he ran well in high-class bumpers at Cheltenham and Aintree in the spring after making a winning debut at Sandown and is bred for jumping. Cavok has won a point and placed in a bumper while Down The Highway changed hands for £80,000 after winning between the flags in February. Soarlikeaneagle is also a winning pointer.
