It was soft ground when CANELIE beat the useful Padleyourowncanoe at Taunton last season. Little has gone right since for the top weight but he’s only 3lb higher now and Aine O’Connor takes off a further 5lb. Forecast placed at Southwell and Aintree last month and this looks a little easier. Keel Over steps into handicaps after a couple of fair runs in maiden company but Mr Fickle has run poorly on the all-weather since winning at Fontwell in August. Notre Ami has ability but has become unreliable.
