Social Contract may pop in at a decent price here, with the likes of Blakeseven, Dial Square and old Redoubtable not out of it by any means. Social Contract has taken a long time to return to form but showed signs that his time is near when second to Redoubtable in a banded race here 12 days ago. The plater was beaten less than two lengths but gets a four-pound pull with his older rival and if that was no flash in the pan, must surely go close. Redoubtable continues to belie his age though and will not go down without a fight so an each-way bet on him would not go amiss. Blakeseven has been ultra consistent without winning but will again go well in this grade and is another to consider, while Dial Square is the dark horse. He gets in on bottom weight after opening his account here last month in maiden company in what was only his fourth ever outing. He had apparently been working very well at home and was 'expected' so any support for him in the ring today should be noted, but we are happy to stick with the improving Social Contract.
