Verdict
Volunteer Point arrived in much better form last year when beating Bint Dandy to land this prize. The former found Ashadihan too good at Chelmsford in February and was behind Realtra earlier when Roger Varian’s mare won a Listed race on the all-weather track at Deauville. But the latter has subsequently finished behind MUFFRI’HA in a couple of Group 2 races at Meydan and the Haggas charge went on to run a big race when a close-up third in the Group 1 Jebel Hatta in Dubai behind Decorated Knight. She looks the one to beat on that form. The remainder are all decent handicappers with something to find on these terms though Carolinae continues to improve and has been supported ante-post.
