Verdict
Ball King had been struggling in the face of a stiff handicap mark since making a winning debut over course and distance in November 2000 but showed last time that he is ready to strike. Peter Makin's charge was a staying-on fourth (Dixie Dancing ninh and held) off this mark over seven furlongs here las month and should prove hard to beat with the extra furlong in his favour so earns the TEAMtalk vote. Mutared was a disappointing favorite last time and still looks on a high enough mark but Katiypour was a most determined winner at Wolverhampton last time and should go well having been raised just 2lb. Ex-Irish performer Shantalla Peak showed some promise when third in a Fairyhouse maiden in September and is an interesting contender on his British bow.
