        Verdict

        Newcomer Vivian Ward, a half-sister to five winners, demands respect given connections. Defiance is related to a couple of winners on the all-weather and is another to note but ETTU has the form in the book. She finished runner-up at Newmarket in October and should make a bold bid in this partnered by returning champion jockey Jim Crowley. Mitigate showed some ability at Kempton on her debut though was only a length ahead of Sayem and that pair look best of the rest.
