Verdict
A wide-margin victory over today’s trip at Wolverhampton meant ALFREDO had to contend with a big hike in the weights at Newmarket last time. He found one too good on that occasion but that was in Class 3 company and he faces a much easier task in this. Yes Daddy and Voice Control were both placed over 2m at Chelmsford on their latest respective starts but recent 1m4f runner-up Fast Play has something to prove over the trip, as does 1m2f winner Ravens Quest. Winter Spice still looks high enough in the weights as he returns from a lay-off while though Miss Tiger Lily has won over 2m on the Turf course here but that was back in 2013.
