In depth

Verdict

GEEZERS COLOURS is the pick at the weights and may be able to come out on top in a tight seller; all three of his rivals have claims. The most recent of Geezers Colours' four successes came twelve starts and two years ago but he has proved more competitive since being dropped into selling and claiming company in October. He ran respectably enough at Wolverhampton on his latest run and could find a little extra for the fitting of a visor. Goodbye Cash stuck her neck out gamely to repel all challengers in a Kempton handicap over a mile and should have no problem with the drop back in trip on this track. She has plenty to find on the figures but is in good form and tough to pass. She often leads as does Lord Deevert but he could be ridden with more restraint as he has done all of his winning at six and this trip stretches him. The selection may be able to get a nice tow from that pair as may Obe Gold who can race prominently but has come from off the pace the last twice. Paul Howling's charge is a regular visitor to the winner's enclosure but only one of his thirteen successes has come over seven furlongs so preference is for Geezers Colours.
