In depth
Verdict
The short list contains Boldinor, Arzaag and Bobby Rose, with the vote going to Arzaag. Boldinor's first two runs on the all-weather were very promising and, following on from a modest Turf run, can go well at this level back on what seems to be his favoured surface. Arzaag comes into it on his course form from earlier in the year, while Bobby Rose holds claims if transferring recent Turf form to the all-weather now that he seems to have taken to this shorter trip. George The Second has improved on Turf of late but needs to replicate it on this surface, and Red Vixen has to find improvement from a revised rating for a couple of good recent efforts. Blinkers will need to improve Mamichor's fortunes, while the bottom three in the weights all also need to find some improvement. All of which returns us to the selection, Arzaag.
