Verdict
Dellagio gets the confident nomination with Cark and Avit rating the main dangers. The selection won well last time out when beating Cark and as that was an apprentice race he escapes a penalty for that win so off the same mark here he has outstanding claims. Cark is sure to have his supporters but there is no reason why he should gain his revenge on the selection and from a poor draw he is readily opposed. Avit is another worthy of respect as he is very well handicapped on his best form but he has given the impression of late he would be suited by a longer trip and for that reason he is overlooked. The Baroness and Tomthevic are from yards in form and could go well at a price but they are far from consistent and for the winner we return to Dellagio who still looks ahead of the handicapper.
