Verdict
This trip didn't appear to be any problems for Grand Passion when he chased home Compton Bolter in a Listed Race here last November and Geoff Wraggs's charge is given a slender vote of confidence over Eastern Breeze, Zonergem and the lightly-weighted Dance In The Sun. Although Lygeton Lad is a very tough customer to deal with and he is sure to be on the premises late on if he runs his usual race. Santando is another to consider as he was entitled to be in need of the run when he finished a well beaten fifth in a warm handicap here at the start of this month. He is sure to be a different proposition this time around. However, Grand Passion, who finished third in the Ben Marshall Stakes when he was last seen on turf, has always shaped as if he has a good prize in him somewhere along the line and, with the likelihood of a fair pace for him to tag along with, this could provide the first instalment of a profitable spell for his followers.
