In depth

Verdict

After The Show has solid claims on form but has a tricky draw to overcome, while Ever Cheerful has more to do than when landing a claimer last time and preference is for Gone'n'dunnett. The selection has been doing most of his racing over six furlongs but there is no reason why the drop to the minimum trip should not suit Christine Dunnett's gelding and he is taken to gain a deserved success. Patternmaker gave little cause for optimism on his latest start but it may be too soon to write him off completely, while Alpaga Le Jomage showed signs of a revival in a Wolverhampton claimer on his most recent outing and has to be considered. Holly Springs, a stablemate of the selection, is another worthy of a mention but Gone'n'dunnett holds solid claims and gets the vote.
