In depth
Verdict
A large field goes to post for this contest but on closer inspection not many can be given a serious chance of winning and the principals look to be Calculaite, Sylva Royal and Loch Laird with the confident vote going to Calculaite. The selection won easily last time out when defeating Roman The Park and need only reproduce that effort to win again. Sylva Royal rates the main danger as she finished in mid-division in a better race behind Headland last time and is sure to be suited by the drop in grade and longer trip. Loch Laird is another that could go well as he is dropping in grade but he is far from consistent so can not be backed with any confidence. Of the remainder, Taiyo is from a shrewd yard and is worth noting in the market but for the winner we return to the in form Calculaite.
