In depth

Verdict

With no form to work on, only a narrow vote of confidence can be given to Windy Prospect, with His Majesty and Cubic Confessions others worthy of note. Paul Blockley normally has his juveniles ready to strike early so bear that in mind when looking for the Brocklesby winner next week, but returning to this puzzle, Windy Prospect may prove the answer. The son of Intikhab is a half-brother to a six-furlong juvenile winner and should be plenty sharp enough to go close at the first time of asking. Nick Littmoden is double-handed but Darryll Holland partners His Majesty so we can assume he is the more forward, while Cubic Confessions comes from a stable that excelled with its youngsters last year. Bamboozled may be the best of David Evans' duo, but with no public form we are really fishing in the dark, and it is more in hope than optimism that Windy Prospect is selected.
