Verdict
Lakota Brave, Linning Wine and Invader look the ones to concentrate on in this tight affair with slight preference going to Lakota Brave who has his optimum conditions. The gelding has been in fair form of late and a reproduction of his latest second in a handicap behind Cardinal Venture would see him go close. Linning Wine was a good second behind Windy Britain last time out but that was over 10 furlongs and he is not sure to suited by the drop in trip. Invader is also worthy of respect. He was behind Linning Wine last time but this shorter trip may suit him better, so there should not be much between them. Of the remainder Recadero would have a chance on his best German form but was very disappointing on his first run on these shores so cannot be backed with any confidence, and we are happy to side with the game and consistent Lakota Brave.
