        Verdict

        Another poor contest her for punters to fathom but something has to win and the principals look to be Zalkani, Confuzed and Tricky Venture and the vote goes to the last named. The selection was very disappointing last time out but that was over 12 furlongs. The drop to this trip is sure to suit and and he looks more like to go on this surface than the surface at Souhwell and from what looks a good draw he is taken to score. Zalkani rates the main danger on his second behind Ryan¿s Bliss a couple of runs ago. He has since been well beaten over a longer trip but the return to this distance should be in his favour. Confuzed is another that would have chances on his best form but he is still a maiden after 17 starts and for that reason he is over looked. Cicatrice is unexposed and is dropping in grade and should be noted in the market but in a woeful race where stakes should be kept to a minimum for the winner we return to Tricky Venture
