Verdict
A competitive contest rounds off the card and many would have chances on their best form but the principals look to be Sweet Pickle, Lucius Verrus and Tree Roofer and the tentative vote goes to the last named. The selection showed improved form to be second behind Kilmeena Star last time over this trip. This looks easier and with his yard in good form and from a good draw he will be hard to beat. Lucius Verrus rates the main danger on his latest second behind Star Fern but his best form of late has come at Southwell and for that reason he is passed over on this occasion. Sweet Pickle is another that could go well he was a fair second behind Clearing Sky last time but that was over a longer trip and the drop in distance is not sure to suit. Forzenuff is from a yard in form and showed her turn was near last time out but she is far from consistent and can not be put forward with any confidence. This is a desperate affair and for the winner we return to Tree Roofer
