        Verdict

        Winter Derby entry AL AGAILA is a filly on the upgrade judged on the ease of last month’s course and distance success. She can defy a hike in the weights and confirm latest running with Makinmedoit and Tequilamockingbird. Purple Ribbon did well to split much higher rated horses when runner-up in a Listed race at Kempton though drops back down in trip while Morgan Fairy also returns to 1m2f having won over a mile here last time. Aiming High represents last year’s winning yard but this is much tougher than when scoring at Southwell last time.
