        BOOM THE GROOM is not the force of old but ended a long losing run when making all over track and trip on his return from a lay-off. A 4lb penalty may not be enough to anchor him in this lower grade and Tony Carroll’s veteran can confirm latest running with both Zulu Zander and Something Lucky. Smokey finished just in front of Spurofthemoment when third at Chelmsford but the latter will be sharper today and Roundabout Magic was a fast-finishing second here on Saturday. Solar Park and Comeatchoo were placed in lowly Class 6 sprints last time.
