Verdict
Tharua, Tomobel and Fantasy Defender are the three we like here and the vote is given to Tharua. The selection ran well in defeat over a mile when third behind Cava Bien at Yarmouth last month, but she looked as though she just failed to get home that day and with the slight drop in trip in her favour she should take all the beating. Tomobel rates the main danger and she ran really well when second behind Rebel Rebel at Yarmouth last time, but she shaped as though she would appreciate a step up in trip that day so this drop to 7 furlongs does not seem to play to her strengths. Fantasy Defender was staying-on purposefully in a weak maiden over 6f on the AW at Southwell last time, so he has to be of interest over this longer trip, even if this race looks more difficult. The rest will have to improve to trouble the principles, and for the winner we return to Tharua.
