Verdict
With stamina doubts concerning Tropical Son and Seejay, this may be best left to Bienheureux, who stays well and should strip fitter for a recent return at Wolverhampton. Tropical Son was well beaten behind Greenwich Meantime in a handicap at Wolverhampton last time and while this may be more his level the five-year-old has yet to prove conclusively that he stays this far. Seejay is stoutly bred on the dam's side and has claims if able to last out the 1m5f trip. Miss Merenda should step up on previous efforts over this longer trip but needs to, while Gary Moore's Argentinian bred Dark Parade is relatively unexposed and cannot be discounted with any confidence. Dual hurdles winner Galey River returns to the flat at a lowly level and could be interesting, while Private Seal has been running consistently well and is another to consider although again the lack of form over as far as this is a worry. There are no such problems for Bienheureux though and he gets the vote.
