Verdict
Dansant, Fajr and Capricorn Run look the trio to focus on in this quality contest with Dansant, seemingly laid out for this race and in winning form, taken to score. Fajr loves the track and has scored in two of his last three starts here, with his defeat coming when he was forced wide. He was recently well beaten at Wolverhampton and can be forgiven that, though this step up in trip is a venture into the unknown. Capricorn Run also has a liking for the track as he has won four of his last five starts here, running well in Listed company at Wolverhampton last time, where he finished ahead of Fajr. He is also going up in trip and may not appreciate this distance. In contrast, Dansant has been in fine form over a mile and a half, and drops significantly back in trip here, over a course he has never encountered before. He followed up a win in the Mallard Handicap at Doncaster by collecting two Listed races at Kempton and boasts the best form in the race. With so many speedy types in the race the pace looks set to be strong, and that can play into Dansant's hands and he can complete the hat trick.
