    Verdict

MERHOOB should be sharper today having returned to action in a handicap at Kempton a fortnight ago. He's preferred to Shining Romeo and may also be good enough giving weight away to the three-year-olds, who have so far proved a distinctly modest bunch. Plymouth Mo finished a bit closer last time but one of the newcomers will not need to be anything special to figure and Mukaabra, a half-sister to a couple of winners, makes more appeal than Red Rose Riot.
