        Verdict

        Champagne Shadow has an obvious chance at the weights of official BHB ratings and gets the vote in a poor contest ahead of Arabian Moon and Beauchamp Twist. The last mentioned has been running consistently well in similar grade of late and has to be respected but she disappointed on her only previous start here and for that reason is probably best passed over. Bishops Finger won over 1m2f in this grade here two starts ago but is not certain to stay this far, while Bobby Kennard has given little sign of encouragement in recent starts. Giko does not look good enough and a bigger threat is likely to come from Arabian Moon, who is probably in the grip of the handicapper at present so takes a drop back in class. Beauchamp Twist has claims at the weights but has yet to show that she handles this surface and a safer bet looks to be Champagne Shadow, who need only reproduce the form of her maiden success over course distance last time to win this.
