Verdict
David Loder's Night In, a half-brother to a couple of winners, could be of interest first time out and would not need to be too special to take a hand in this company but Best Double sets a decent standard and is preferred to Time For Life. The selection stepped up on debut form when chasing home Rosinka in a Goodwood maiden last month and, provided that she handles this surface, Gerard Butler's filly should be too good for her rivals today and can go one better. Roger Charlton's Brancacci showed signs of ability on her Folkestone debut but needs to improve, while Ballyhooligan was well held first time out and is probably best watched. Hugh Collingridge's Time For Life found just Killarney Beauty too good in a 15-runner Nottingham maiden on his debut and has an obvious chance but Best Double showed enough at Goodwood to suggest that a race of this nature would be within her compass and she is taken to score.
