In depth
Verdict
A truly dreadful race in which Droopys Joel is begrudgingly offered in favour of Robmantra and Town End Tom. Droopys Joel may sound like he should be heading round the bends at Walthamstow but he was well backed on his first start for Bobby Elliott and must have had problems having last been seen out in June. Now with Stuart Williams - the market is watched feverishly. Robmantra makes a very long trip to take his chance. He was rated in the early 70's during his initial starts but does have the edge of racefitness against this bunch. Town End Tom has shown little sparkle of late and the visors seem to have been applied as a last resort. Its hard to believe how well bred Three Strikes is in comparison to many of these and she and fellow Nigel Tinkler inmate Kilmovee are far from forlorn hopes in a wide-open contest. A race for the die-hard fans only and Droopys Joel is given one last chance to justify stable talk.
